Top UK cities for high potential returns on buy to let

Hi

With some considering the London housing market becoming over heated and rental yields perhaps not as high as some would like, over cities are being looked at more closely.

According to an HSBC report the Top 3 cities for high rental yields versus purchase price are Southampton,Manchester, then Nottingham.

I myself have looked at Nottingham a a prospective city for a potentially good return.
Manchester also under consideration.

Although a few months old, an interesting article from the Telegraph here

Around the World cyclist killed on Thai road

A very sad and tragic story.

A cyclist on a potentially record breaking Around the World was killed yesterday after a pick up truck crashed in to him, leaving his wife and son injured.

A link to a news article, Warning, the picture could be disturbing.

Jesus Hill Vung Tau Vietnam Part 4

Hi

There are approximately another 120 steps within the statue itself, very narrow and twisting.

Well worth enduring for the view at the top

The bed of nails somewhat grim to look at

Met this very friendly group of Vietnamese on the way back down, asked where we were from and what we thought of Vung Tau/Vietnam

Jesus Hill Vung Tau Vietnam Part 3

There is a pleasant open area around the base of the Jesus state, shows some of the remnants from the war.

Big cannon here from the war times

A nice view  of Vang Tau from this pleasant area

Plenty of space to sit down and relax after climbing all those steps:

Como North Italian Lakes area

Hi

Como is one of my favourite places, the Lake there being very picturesque.
There is a pleasant park/walking area very near the Lakeside.

Lakeside view

The park again

Some boats moored up

Jesus Hill Vung Tau Vietnam Part 2

Hi

Carrying on with this which made an excellent afternoon out.
Although there are a couple of places where you can buy some water, decent idea to start off with at least a small bottle.

High temperature ( compared to Europe ) and the climbing make that quite important

View just over half way up, quite nice

Final steps to the statue, well maintained and pretty

Plaques in recognition of those Vietnamese who left the country during the war and set up home elsewhere

First view of the statue as one approaches the final set of steps.

A butterfly decided to fly past
